I was completely, totally wrong about this. I thought for sure that he would run a dirty election. Maybe he thought he didn’t need to – he may be starting to believe his own spiel about how wonderful he is and how the people can’t do without him.
She said that with 88 percent of the votes counted, the trend was irreversible.

Again, I was totally wrong about that. I never gave him any credit in that regard. That speaks for much more integrity than I thought he had.
But for a few days I’ll be waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I am absolutely stunned. When the result is 49-51, that’s close enough for Chavez types to cheat, even without Jimmy Carter’s help.
I guess I’ll give Chavez credit where credit is due, although I seriously suspect he has other plans up his sleeve.

I think you were closer to the mark in #23. And i doubt it was a clean election, he didn’t allow any observers so you can be sure the vote was corrupted and yet he still lost. Which makes it even sweeter.

He left me a message saying something about enrolling in a culinary school program.
Very cool.
Then he went on a rant about Wolf Blitzer acting like an ass to John Bolten.
Not until the start of the year. It is just a small local vocational school that offers a culinary degree, and right now, I’m wondering which I should pick. If I should enter the general program (pots and pans) or the baking program (bread and pastries.) granted, I hate, FRIGGEN HATE! pastry cooking, but I love bread, and I remember the local bakery when I was growing up. I think it is important for every neighborhood to have both a local bakery, and a local butcher. Fact is, if I take the basic cooking (general culinary) program, I will likely work at creating a local deli, with in house specials (advance order only) and if I take the baking program, I will likely work at developing artisan breads for my local area.

Oh, as for the hiatus, it’s been very educational so far, thank you for asking. It’s also (as I described to patty) been more than a bit of a mind fuck, because of various things that have occured, but I’m handling them a lot better than I expected, and if you ask patty, she will confirm that it really isn’t all that well. At least in terms of the particular mindfuck that I am talking about.

WP, I’ve actually been to court in Hammond. I just can’t remember why. I was clerking for a law firm while in school, and I remember going there on a case, but I can’t for the life of me remember what it was.
As for the program you choose, baking means you get up very early in the morning. Cooking means you work nights.
FWIW, Son Michael did cooking at the CIA and thought it was much more interesting than the baking program. But then, he has always loved to cook since he was a toddler.
WP, Mr Kevlar is culinary trained. He always says baking and pastry is the most difficult. Hang in there bro.
Well, the thing is you get pigeonholed with the baking degree, and I’m more of an intuitive cook. “this doesn’t taste just right, toss in a bit of X” kinda guy.
Baking is like those ultra strict chemistry labs you had to perform, with the microgram measurement things.
I’m very firm on going through the course,and things aren’t bad, I just had one particular mindfuck (romantic related) but other than that, I’ve been having a good time. Though I feel kinda odd being the oldest guy in the room, and being asked about all these young womens romantic situations and how they should handle them.
I should probably just have them google “I break bitches” and then I wouldn’t have to play kindly old man to their retarded youthful cocksluttery. Here’s a tip: get those comfortable latex cook clogs that you can clean in the dishwasher. (I forget the brand, but I can find out from Son Michael if you want). They will save you a lot of foot pain, stinky feet, and destroyed shoes.
I remember way back when I cooked for a living, they did not have these things. I was always throwing away rancid shoes.
