I have previously posted on the fact that cow-belching threatens our planet!!!

The solution to this dire threat may be in the sea.

BALI, Indonesia - Slimy, green and unsightly, seaweed and algae are among the humblest plants on earth. A group of scientists at a climate conference in Bali say they could also be a potent weapon against global warming, capable of sucking damaging carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere at rates comparable to the mightiest rain forests.

“The ocean’s role is neglected because we can’t see the vegetation,” said Chung Ik-kyo, a South Korean environmental scientist. “But under the sea, there is a lot of seaweed and sea grass that can take up carbon dioxide.”

Dude. I’ve been to South Korea in the winter. A free ride to Bali at this time of year must have been pretty sweet.  Global warmng conferences are definitely the place to be.

The seaweed research, backed by scientists in 12 countries, is part of a broad effort to calculate how much carbon is being absorbed from the atmosphere by plants, and figure out ways to increase that through reforestation and other steps.

Such so-called “carbon sinks” are considered essential to controlling greenhouse gases, which trap heat in the atmosphere and are blamed for global warming.

I personally reforested my backyard with Serbian Spruce trees in order to create a “carbon sink.” Everyone on this site gave me shit about it because the labor was illegal Mexicans. You just can’t win.

And it seems the Chicoms have no interest in doing anything to curb their emissions.

Did the UNniki invite Usama bin Ladin? He seems to be quite the environmentalist. And it seems he could be their hero, trying as he is to take world back to the Stone Age. No more pollution!

Besides, some of Bin Ladin’s American friends have a nice gift they want to drop on, er, give to him. It’ll look smashing on him! A Christmas present! (The “Christmas” part will hopefully kill him as he has a heart attack in rage. How dare those infidels share their celebration and good cheer of the birthday of whom Muslims would call Hazrat Eesaa ‘alayhi-s-salaam!)

Seaweed? Does it make me a pervert or a girl if the first thing that came to mind is Sebastian’s “Under the Sea”?

What’s up with all the drama? I SAID “excuse me”, so why can’t we just drop the whole thing?
