Enas Yorl bought this today, and he will be getting a package in the mail.

Enas can tell you where to get your very own mini-helicopter, and other cool stuff that you don’t need and can’t afford.

In a comment thread below, Enas also explains why knitting is addictive and should only be undertaken by lesbians who know what they are doing. I know this is old, but it’s topical given our recent consensus opinion that Cathy is a lesbian because she knits.

My wife knits.
She is not a lesbian.

As far as I know.

That is all.

Remember this show from the early ’70’s?
It was like the cartoon version of All in the Family.

The Simpsons is kinda a ripoff of this show.

Anyway, the 1st season is out on the DVD.

Does crochet count as lesbianish? My wife crochets, and I am definitely certain she is not a lesbian.

Knitters are some of the best people .

Quilters are good folks too.

Knitting, sewing, crocheting all trace their origins to work done by men.

Lutheran World Relief, huh. Trying to push that Lutheran Millenium . I’m telling ya, you guys are gonna be in a world of hurt when us Presbyterians have had enough of that! We’ll stuff you with so many covered dishes, you won’t be able to move and you’ll be begging for relief.

8. Cathy - March 1, 2008

Ya wanna stuff me with covered-dish culinary treasures, go right ahead.

I ain’t proud.

Is pie a covered dish?

I was going to learn to knit. I bought myself all the stuff, the yarn, the needles, the video.

I put the video in, sat down and proceeded with the lesson. I couldn’t get it. I rewound and rewound and rewound this one part till my exasperated husband said, give me the needles, let me show you how to do it.

No way could I have ever learned knitting from a book or video. In fact I was rather bad when I first learned.

I took knitting lessons at a small yarn shop and learned from the shop-owner how to knit without ever having my hands leave the needles, and now I can knit without looking at my work.

A girlfriend has asked me to teach her this method.

I’m sure shes not a lesbian, right? i just don’t get those earliar comments about lesbians and knitting from those small thinkers. Or is this just another example of little boys being threatened by the empowerment of women.

12. Amishs Purls of Wisdom - March 1, 2008

Lesbians make terrible knitters. The only thing they know how to do are muffs.

jerzeeboy, sorry you are coming into the middle of poking fun which I invited when I thread-jacked in another thread .

I started it with some self-deprecation because of what is going on with a friend of mine with cancer. Blog-buddies are playing along and helping me feel better. It’s all in good fun.

If you think that there are any little boys being threatened by the empowerment of wimmins around here, ask them that yourself.

You ever get just an eentsy beentsy bad feeling about something?

That’s just adorable. I’m stealing it.

Just returned from the last SLU basketball game at the Scottrade Center. They move to their new on campus arena next year.

And the school treated the alumni to free booze and food before the game, and gave my daughter a free teddy bear.

Now, it is so nice out (high 50s), I’m going for a run.

17. Cathy - March 1, 2008

I wonder if Jessica Alba knits…

18. Muslihoon - March 1, 2008

Hehehehehe. Looks like a funny movie. Thanks, laura!

I find it interesting that the “Real Men Knit” video had Scottish music. Music by men in skirts. That said, I used to knit. Had to hide it, though. Mom found out and had a fit. She was not pleased.

My wife knits, and even runs a home-based business of her products.

She is not a lesbian; she just thinks that the rainbow-yarn knitted strap-on had a lot of commercial potential.

(although, should you be curious – or lesbian – you can find her shop here: Lil’ Brit Knits)

Andy, I love the strawberry tea-cosy. My Dutch grandmother used to make tea-cosies, but that one is darling!
