In San Francisco: A Proposal to Memorialize Bush With Sewage May 9, 2008

I suppose I should be outraged by this, but it’s actually kinda funny. Childish, but funny, and let’s be honest, I’m no stranger to childish humor myself.
A group called the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco has launched a ballot initiative that would rename a city sewage treatment plant the “George W. Bush Sewage Plant.”
A petition is being circulated that would put the measure up for a vote in November. If it passes, it will rename the city’s Oceanside Treatment Plant for the 43rd president of the United States.
I’ll bet it passes.

They do get a little sweaty though, and need a looser, more airy nesting place. But they still have the same bounce in every step. And still a birdwatcher’s dream come true.
A sewage treatment plant? That’s cool. Unlike a good portion of the residents of greater San Francisco, the sewage treatment plant actually serves a USEFUL purpose.
