Ave Maria May 17, 2008

Mr. Lipstick is playing a video game called “Hitman”, and as I’m slaving in the kitchen, I hear Ave Maria coming from the TV or X-box or whatever.

So I wanted more of that and found this from Britain’s Got Talent.

Stick with it, the kid can sing.

UPDATE:  Here’s another amazing performance.

Slaving = loading the dishwasher.

Boy, that little girl has some voice. I’m not familiar with that arrangement of Ave Maria, though. This is the one I’m familiar with:

My Daughter brought Guitar Hero III over for Mothers Day. I was surprised at how much Mrs. Geezer liked it. Yesterday I bought ‘Rock Band’. I thought it would be fun for when the grandkids visit this summer.
I have to confess that I like it a lot more than I thought I would.
I would have bet money that I wouldn’t like anything by Nine Inch Nails or Weezer. Surprise!

The Lead Singer feature is pretty cool. It tells you if your PITCH is right!
How do it know?
Mrs. G got 85% singing… wait for it…
Don’t Fear the Reaper. !!!11!1111

I forgot to mention, that was a great selection. I got a lump in my throat listening to that girl sing.

What a voice on that kid! Child prodigy like Julie Andrews was. Wow.

Brewfan, Pavarotti’s version is beautiful. But I wish he didn’t have to keep looking at his notes.

Just nit-picking.

Geezer, I’ve never played a video game, but it is certain that my voice ranking would be negative 85%!

Oh Lordy. Julie Andrews.

*deep sigh*

I know! I laughed when I saw that. Very professional :)

I know, Dave!

That lovely, pure voice of hers. Like the voice of an angel.

That’s what you said ‘Oh Lordy’ about, right? Her voice?

Right?

Right.

Was it Pavarotti or one of the other two Tenors who was lip syncing a lot near the end of his career?

Also, didn’t some guy who sang something from Turandot win last year in Britain?

Paul Potts, singing “Nessun Dorma.”

Pavarotti’s is better.
