How Will Sarah Palin Do in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan? September 5, 2008

Just got this email from my brother who is an avid hunter and sportsman in Pennsylvania:
It’s funny, Sarah is very well known with the outdoor & hunting crowd, & has been for quite a while. She’s been a hero to sportsmen for the last few years. I’ve seen 3 or 4 of her speeches before, she’s as knowledgeable on energy issues as anyone in the country. In her debate with the former governor she absolutely destroyed him. I think it’s because she’s authentic, a real hunter, unlike the photo-op Kerry & others.
There’s something like 30 pages of Palin commentary on the biggest outdoor newsgroup, 99.9% favorable. The only issue is concern that she may have hitched her wagon to a loser like McCain. Before she was named, that group had bumper-stickers declaring “McCain, He Sucks Less” But now they’re really energized.
Gender aside, she really is that good. Biden better tighten up his hairplugs, she’s gonna rip him a new one.
I’m thinking Obama will prolly win this election, but he’ll be a total fuck up for four years. Palin will run for President in 2012 and win big time.
If not for some of the Supreme Court justices being so old, I would feel better about Obama winning and screwing up. Then again, we’re still dealing with Carter’s legacy.

I have a naive faith in most of my fellow Americans that they see through the Obama illusion. The left wing of the Democratic party just doesn’t have the votes to get one of their people elected. The Reagan Democrats are coming back home!
I’m seeing a Republican victory in 2012. 2008 would be nice, but I’m not counting on it.
I like right along the Appalachian Trail in PA. With the exception of the staff & students at our small, elite liberal arts college, folks seem genuinely enthused about Governor Palin
I wanna see Palin take VP in Nov and then run again Hillary in ‘12, and stomp her ass.

I think McCain will win. I’d be predicting a landslide if it weren’t for the media.
Palin will help McCain immensely in PA, and I’ve been saying as much for a while. She’s a cultural fit, and she’s going to do well here.

If I didn’t know anything about any candidates, all I would have to do to decide who to vote for is to look at the type of people who support the Dems.

Based on what I saw here yesterday when I got to meet Palin — pretty damn well.
