Fontbonne? I would hope you are not including me in the “thinly veiled racist” category. I am stating that Rangel is beneath a caning sarcastica;;y because I admire what Senator Sumner accomplished (I am a history nerd). I see Rangel as a man out for himself and not anything else.
Be careful before you judge other peoples motives.
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No one is righteous no not one. Judge not or you will be judge by the same measure thatyou judge others. If U.S. citizens were more actively involve inthe political process theywould understand whatis and how it works. Everyone from corporate executives to politicians take advantage of any perk thatis available and the rich are never satisfied. So they will not be shamed into doing what others think is right by the rude and disrepectful comment of some snot nosed kid who should be at work instead of nosing around in other peoples business. Rangel was right except for the blasphemous expletive.

The dems are in power, so they get the spotlight, and now we see they are hypocrites-tax cheats, but happy to raise taxes through various ‘green’ initiatives that will increase energy costs for everyone, fact is that THIS IS our “goddamn business”, we (not me) hired these crooks and they work for Americans, this is a perfect example of the ‘elected’ officials’ mindset. We should vote for all challengers in the upcoming elections to send a message…honesty and common sense will work better than self-interest and control based ideology

Last time I heard about “caning” is when a white kid got his ass beaten for spraypainting a car in another country ran by brown people.
