The Vidalia Chop Wizard commercials crack me up. They’re a particularly egregious example of the Infomercial World, in which people are completely incompetent until they are introduced to a Marvelous New Device. I love the groans and the dismay on the face of the woman who can’t manage to peel a friggin’ apple or even slice an onion. It also cracks me up when they try to make the thing look easy to use, and yet, it’s obvious the woman is having to use all of her strength to push the lid down.

I’m also a big fan of the infomercials for organizer systems, because they always show people practically in tears as the contents of their closets or pantries fall on their heads. I’m in tears too, but it’s from laughter.
