Mark Levin Today, Breathing Hellfire in Washington: The Capitol Belongs To Us! November 5, 2009

Mark happens to be a NYT best-seller with his book Liberty and Tyranny (which I recently read in New Mexico on Cathy’s recommendation), and he is an annoying but totally sincere, funny, and likable Jew who is  a major presence on talk radio, and is the Obama Administration’s worst nightmare, even more so than Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck.

When I come home from work and walk in to the kitchen from the garage, what I hear is the voice of Mark Levin.  Cathy has him on the radio.  He is always yelling into the microphone.  I’m used to this.  It’s like he’s a crazy uncle who is a member of my family.

Except, unlike the crazy uncle, he makes sense.

I love the voice-over at the end of this video, echoing a point that Mark made about the structure behind him that belongs to us, the people:

Our Capitol Building. . .  It’s not Europe’s, it’s not Canadian’s.

It’s ours.

Wow. That video and audio make me feel like I’m actually there.

And, and that the batteries in my hearing aid are dead.

I had no idea he was that tall.

JC, the audio volume did go down dramatically in the second half.

Yeah the audio was sporadic. But he rocked it. And he’s cute.

Dear whoever is in charge of the HTML around here,

Bad! Bad coder!

No nesting block elements inside other block elements! No cookie! No cookie!

Cathy & Michael, molasses crinkles are cooling in the kitchen as we type :-)

6. Mrs. Peel - November 5, 2009

Crap. I baked the first sheet just a little bit too long. These cookies are so damn finicky – if you don’t get the baking temp and time just right, they don’t taste as good. Still good, mind you, just not as good as they could/should be. Second sheet is fixing to come out, so maybe it’ll be better.

Second sheet = WIN. Oh yes.

The CapitOl belongs to us. It’s our Capitol building, even. :)

Pet peeve, sorry. At least you didn’t use “alright”!

Mrs. Peel is IN THE HOUSE!

Bringing molasses crinkles, which are excellent.

I’m about to grill some steaks.

Normally I find Levin’s voice to be annoying on the radio, but I really liked this vid.

Oh yes. November 2010 is coming up fast, Nancy…

Hey John, how are you? I thought you had disappeared.
