Glad to see Ray is still writing clever songs.
I’m pretty sure I worked his show at Bally’s.
Of course there is a possibility that I’m confused, I am old.

I do remember that Roger Miller was a hoot to work. Have you ever heard his song, The Day I Jumped from Uncle Harvey’s Plane

I also worked Jim Stafford.

Smoking them wildwood flowers got to be a habit and we never seen no harm.
We thought it was kind of handy, take a trip and never leave the farm.
A big old puff of that wildwood weed, next thing you know, you’re wanderin’ around behind the little animals.

*Geezer fondly remembers his years in showbiz… goes out in the freezing wind and throws hay to the horses, who routinely nuzzle it out of the feed trough, (searching for that tasty morsel at the bottom), whereupon the wind scatters the hay to the four corners of the earth.
Horses are stupid.
*Geezer contemplates the price of hay and fondly remembers his years in showbiz.

Maybe if you took your flashlight out to the pasture tonight and shined it on the mares you might feel better.
:)

Why didn’t I think of that earlier?
