A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything February 14, 2010

On some thread recently, I was pontificating about the futility of the human enterprise.  I opined that our history as a species was essentially that we are ever more technologically sophisticated about our fundamental brutality.  I got some flack for those comments.

The creator of this video shares my view.  So does the Teacher  in the book of Ecclesiastes (probably Solomon).  There is nothing new under the sun.

But, we have our redeeming moments.  See post below.

It’s spelled “flak”.

*takes bow*

The music being used is the ever popular “Can Can”.
French lassies would stand in a line facing the audience then do a backbend, planting their hands on the ground and kick in unison.
This always brought down the house.
Ever wonder why?

Cause they weren’t wearing no underwears.

Trust me, I’m a professional.

Well it shouldn’t be. I’d like to open up a can of fundamental brutality on those responsible for shaping this bitch of a language we use.

Enjoyed the video and agree with the sentiment. Devour to survive.

It’s our technologocal sophistication that permits us to inflict brutality in a more humane way.
