Thanks to Rosetta the Daddy at The Hostages, who observes: “I really wanted to not like this so I could make fun of it for being a cheese-dripping celebrity circle jerk but dammit, I kinda like it.”
Gotta admit, it kind of gave me a lump in the throat too.

I do think I am only going to watch it that once however.
On repeated viewings I would probably go back to wanting to set Kanye West on fire and then throw him in a wood chipper.
But the song and many of those voices are very powerful, no question.
Also. Happy Valentine’s Day IBers!
I liked it also. It was well made and the performances were great with the exception of Wyclef Jean who was absolutely horrible.
Hey Rosetta! I love you!
Also, Jamie Foxx doing his Ray Charles was awesome.
I made this for you BrewFan.

Good job Cathy! That’s wonderful.
Three dozen quilts were draped over the the back of the pews at our service this morning, and received a prayer and a blessing before being sent on to Haiti by Lutheran World Relief. LWR has learned over the years that quilts are actually a remarkably practical multi-function item in a recovering post-disaster zone.
We prayed that God’s love would be manifest in what we do, not just what we say.
Cathy really has put a lot of work into this, both sewing and organizing.

It may be too early to consider sainthood for Cathy, but between this and marrying Michael, it’s a damn good start.

Yep. Good for carrying things, like injured people, too.

Wait, can Saints be teh Hawt?
Well OK then.
Thanks. I’m happy when I’m doing this sorta thing.
