The financial crisis in California is forcing state and local agencies to make some brutally difficult decisions.
If the economy does not improve soon, there’s a real risk that they may have to lay off Jose.

I see they already let Hose “B” go…..
And whenever anybody talks about cutting the budget, the government always threaten to lay off Jose. They act like none of those other mooks are even in the picture.
Well that PR manager is doing a terrible job, that’s for sure. Fire him. I’m sure the PR guy for Toyota is shopping for something.
