Reindeer Factory December 22, 2010

This post is for Lipstick and Cathy… and Reindeer lovers everywhere.
Mrs. Geezer’s friend, Nancy, gave us the plans for Cute Little Christmas Reindeer.
Mostly all you need are 2×4′s, a red drawer-pull and festive decorating crap items.
We took a bunch of 2×4′s over to Bud-the-Neighbor’s to do the initial construction.
I didn’t take photos of the entire process but here’s the scene that greeted us the next day when we went over to finish.
Bud stood all the deer up except for two that he drenched with ketchup “Had to shoot a couple”. Of course he covered the deer with saran wrap before he put the ‘blood’ on them.
We made about a dozen of them. Here’s some pictures of the finished product (and bonus photo of Spudder, for Lipstick).
There are 3 identical pieces, the legs are the same as the face/antlers, plus a small piece of 2×4 for the body.
Ears, eyebrows and tail are made out of felt. The big ones are 3′ tall, the little ones are 2′ tall.
Mrs. Geezer added lights to the antlers.
Spudder (the ex-Feral Idaho Barn Cat) smells the bell.
Merry Christmas from Camp Geezer.

Yaaaaay!!! They are so cute!!!
Reindeer AND Spudder — this is my lucky day!
Thanks RG!
Wonderfully clever.
Wait a minute….
[spots the makings of a petrol bomb against the back wall in the first photo]
Should I report that to the FBI or PETA?
Spudder is looking healthy. Darling.
They look good, a bit scrawny for eatin just yet.
Hey Michael, your daughter is hip to the trends.

Hope you had tags for those 2 you shot…
Daughter Michael settled on a new .40 S&W99.
Interesting. A Walther frame married up to an S&W slide.
Nice lookin killin machine.
Wait, she changed her mind. Now it’s a Springfield XD. Still .40. She knows all about it.
The reindeer workshop looks a lot more organized than my new boatbuilding workshop. I’ve turned my basement “man room” into a workspace to build a 13-foot cedar strip canoe, and right now the name of my boat would have to be “Debris Field”.
Janis is somewhat concerned about sawdust, but Moses LOVES the idea of power tools all concentrated together in one place.
Love those! We are totally copying that idea, next year.
(Why does Rudolph have long eye-lashes?)
Errr, have to ask Mrs. Geezer.
