In depth analysis to follow this evening, assuming that I’m not in a digestive coma as a result of the bacon eating contest. Ohhhhhhhhhhh BACON!

Bud the Neighbor told us about Bacon Ends. They come in a big package of chunks, not strips. It’s much easier to cut out the fat, if you’re inclined to do that sort of thing. Perfect for mixing with a mess of scrambled eggs or pie.
OK that was just silly.
Russ reports for Bacon Fest that:
1) WOW there are way more people here that in the past!!!
2)They are serving Coors and he feels like he’s back in high school — oh I mean college.
3) The Bacon is GREAT. Local seafood restaurant served an awesome bacon wrapped scallop – I told him to go it the recipe!!!
4) He’s signed up for the Bacon Eating Contest with high hopes to finishing first, until the three-time-reigning-champion stepped up behind him and signed up. Ratfarts. Oh well you get to eat lots of bacon for free!!!
Sounds like a good time so far.
Geezer — that’s not silly. I do that too — especially when most of the time the ends and pieces are cheaper. Yum Yum!!
Someone tell us the outcome of the contest!

Russ reported that they had way too many people signed up and his name never got called- he wasn’t the only one that did not get to compete. Ratfarts again. But he had a great time.
