The city has 8 stories, containing stables, workshops, chapels, giant air shafts and could shelter 30,000 inhabitants.
I was thinking Petra because of these verses in the Lutheran bible:
Matthew 24:19-21
19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. Revelation 12:6
The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.
I bet you would never have guessed that it is in Turkey.

Cool!
I shall call this, my charity comment to myself.
It was a great post, RG. I enjoyed it. I’m sure everyone else did as well.

Geezer, for the record I commented on this wonderful post but WordPieceofcrap decided to spam-bucket (noun used as a verb for geoff’s enjoyment) it. *Hangs head in shame at the state of the Software Development profession*

Good thing RG charitied it, then.
Actually, I watched the vid, but was, uh, so awestruck that I, uh, couldn’t type for hours.
It was a cool video – I wish they had spent less time on the exterior and shown more of the interior.
That’s a shitload of Batcaves right there.
