Turns out, dang near anything is possible.
What the heck is that thing they are slapping at the keyboard to get some percussion? Never saw that before. Looks like a cheap way to avoid hiring a drummer, which is probably a good idea according to Dave in Texas.
Also, I wonder why a guy would appear on a YouTube video with a towel on his head. Don’t you think he could have washed his hair a little earlier? Or used a blow dryer?
Towel-head starts playing a bass viola onscreen at 3:18, and he’s really into it, so have some patience and wait for the good stuff at 3:18 when the bass line is no longer boring.
This is so good! The girl looks so much like my Irksome Middle Child – glasses and all – who also plays and sings well, too. I really like the Texan drawl they put into it. I think the thing the guy is tapping is one of those electronic percussion toys Yamaha makes. I think a lot of these covers you’ve been posting are often better than or as good as the originals.
So do you think Adele’s ex-boyfriend is kicking himself for dumping her now?
I’m guessing Adele’s ex-boyfriend gets a lot of free beers that are bought for him out of pity at the neighborhood bar.
Staplers and ‘ukes. Nice tune and the folks seem to have some talent. The babe seems to wearing some old Groucho Marx disguise. I thought that was distracting.

The babe is your standard issue Hipster, thus dorky glasses are part of the uniform. The song they are doing is a cover of (recently Grammy-gold plated) Adele’s who mined a lot of her source material for her hit songs out of a bad break-up. She’s not in this video.

Thanks for the information. I knew the voice but never knew the name…and what a great voice she has! (Speaking of the Adele here.) I’m still rocking out to the Doobie Brothers so clearly I have a lot of catching up to do.
How does a 15 year old Korean girl get those kind of pipes? Time to turn of the Doobie Brothers CD and start looking on You Tube.
She not only has pipes, but she has the language down, too. I wonder if she lived most of her life in America.
