Unemployment numbers are out: unchanged up 0.1 points at 7.9%. Here’s the chart I now use to track the progress of the recovery:

Slow progress, but a discernible trend. It’s taken us 3 years to get from 47% to 48%. At this rate it’ll take us another 12 years to get back to 52%, where we were during the eeeevil reign of George Bush.

But I’m sure the President has a plan to throttle back this out-of-control economy. Probably involving some program which will incentivize employers to cut back on full-time employees.

Naw. Couldn’t happen.
