Go Giants!

2. Lipstick - January 21, 2008

Dang. Throat Lumping is right.

My dad is a Marine.

Of course, he has never even used an ATM, so I’ll have to get Mom to show this to him on that newfangled computer thingee.

🙂

4. GrumpyUnk - January 21, 2008

That’s a beautiful video. I’m a grumpy old bastard, but I so love these young men and woman of our armed forces.

Aw shit, I’m gonna go all maudlin here and the next thing you know, I’ll start having those dreams of killing Reid, Pelosi, Kennedy, Murtha, et al ….. again.

5. HockeyLady - January 21, 2008

What a great ad! God Bless all our military service men and women.
Those brave men/women, defending us and our rights–and those blankety-blank folks of San Francisco don’t deserve them. I have been to that city 2 times–found it to be dirty and grossly overrated. Have no desire to ever go back.

Got the tears from this one.
I always loved that Eleanor Roosevelt quote:
“The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps.”

7. kevlarchick - January 21, 2008

I saw that last night during one of the football games. Loved it.

I love the irony of the fact that the judge who adjudicated the case of that a&@hole in Chicago who keyed that Merine’s car was himself a Marine.

And he tore into that guy in a manner that made me almost want to be in the vicinity of those in the legal profession.

Pretty awesome. It’s a shame the first reaction I had was remembering those assholes on the Golden Gate film commission wouldn’t let the Marines film this on the bridge.

It’s not so much they don’t support the troops. It’s really more they hate the troops. And all the fine and good things they represent. Question their patriotism? They never had any, beyond some twisted love of an America they imagine should exist but does not.

Is not the Militia more Patriotic then the Marines?

11. jmarquez - January 21, 2008

All I can say is, God Bless America! Thank God for the Marines!

The shot they have of the Silent Drill Team with the bridge in the background came out pretty awesome.

Nice how they worked that in.

it’s a beautiful piece of work.

14. Muslihoon - January 21, 2008

Isn’t that something, though? San Fran didn’t listen to the Marines, and the Marines took it in stride. They didn’t, you know, invade and overthrow the San Fran government or anything. Amazing. Makes me proud to be in the West, it does.

And the video is certainly throat-lump-producing.

May God bless America.
May God bless the Marines.
May God bless the Armed Services of The United States.

My son is a Marine, my grandson is a Marine. The grandson has completed two tours to Iraq as a combat Engineer. He is a changed youg man. His future is in focus, and he is motivated to go to college and become a contributor to the Patriotism that is lacking in this great nation of ours.

As long as life exists on this planet we will have wars and rumors of wars. It will always be the young boys who will come back as Heros and Men with a purpose.

God Bless America

Beautiful! Just beautiful..I am so proud of these young men and women. My heart and soul are overcome with love.

I saw the Video today and as a Australian Soldier of 27 years service I wish we had the same effect in our own country when we showed adds of our Army. I have a number of friends in the Marines so May God Bless the Marines and all soldiers of the world fighting the fight for the right reasons. As long as we have men and women like the Marines we will do alright.

Keep up the good work.
Cheers

I finally saw the new commerical! WOW is an understatement for this one. My son called me during the football game and wondered if I saw it, said no (I was not at home at the time), he said “OH MOM, it gave me goosebumps and as mauch as you are into what my brother and I do (they are both proudly serving in the Corps), I know you will love it. Wait tillyour MMO’s see this one!”
Well he was so right, I played it again 2 more times on the site, yeah it made me cry with pride. My dad also proudly served the Corps and I know he loves it also.
God Bless America and God Bless the United State Marines!

20. Linda Pohlman - March 23, 2008

I too was overcome when I saw this spectacular ad for America’s Marines. Our country is beautiful beyond words, but made even more beautiful with the silent watchful vigil of these fine young men and women of the United States Marine Corps. I thank them.

21. John - October 13, 2008

I first saw this ad while I was deployed earlier this year. I’m in the USAF and I’v’e said “God love the Corps because I couldn’t do it.” For 18+ years I have been proud to wear the uniform for the USAF but I have the utmost respect for every Marine I meet. I just wish our ads were as cool and not so stupid.
