Innocent Bystanders is a semi-popular hangout blog with an emphasis on mildly tipsy vulgarity rather than outright drunken profanity. We are seeking an outstanding individual for an exciting opportunity to work as an administrative assistant to the blog.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Abilities:
- An earned associates degree is preferred;
- A working knowledge of Word and WordPress (or similar software) is preferred;
- General office skills required;
- The successful candidate will have back seat rhythm and not be thunderstruck in stressful situations;
- Proficiency in Excel is also required.
I *used to* think I was proficient in Excel. After watching that, not so much.
Holy crap. Don’t let Enas Yorl see that. He’s a professional spread-sheeter, and he may sheet himself.
Here’s a funny video for all the gun owners in the crowd.

EXCEL-lent!
Ok, that was awesome. But I still have to say that some people apparently have too much time on their hands.
You guys really raised the bar since letting me in.

ooops!
I believe the gun vid was debunked as a fake (sorry, Geezer). Still kinda funny.
The comments are as clever as the video. Well, close.
I don’t own a gun, cuz that video would have been real, of course, I would have destroyed the video later.
As for the actual post, I say, all the time, that whenever I see “word excell and blahbity blahbity blahbity blah” in an ad, or hear it in a question, I really don’t know what the people are talking about.
“Proficient in Access.” What does that mean?
Really? Just what does that mean? MS has VB all over the place, you can’t be “proficient” in any of MS’s app’s without being good at VB, which requires a programing mindset.
I told the story about how my PltComm, a BRILLIANT man had me set up a DB, which I did.
I did it all using the pointy clicky. He said that it would be too slow, so he told me to learn VB, then he made me apply the DB to other shit, and I was like “DUDE? can I solder something?”
where’s Geoff? This is more his speed. But it needs more charts…
That was pretty cool – except for the ACDC song.

I’m a little overwhelmed at the moment. Just spent a weekend back home where the low point was spending Saturday night in the emergency room with my dad. Flew back to CA today. My daughter comes to visit on Thursday, which is cool, but doesn’t really help with the overwhelmed issue.
Someday I’ll get things back to normal. In the meantime, I’m enjoying lurking at all my usual haunts.
Geoff? don’t you live by cranky?
No – I normally live in CO.
need to find someone who can check up on cranky.
PA is the nearest off the top of my head.
Hope old boy is okay.
NO! ND is closer, need to recruit ND to check up on Cranky.
WP, I’m checking his blog and I sent him email. If I hear or see anything, I’ll post it far and broad.
I thought Cranky lived in Alabama.
Am I thinking grumpy?
Geoff:
Hope everything is Ok with your dad
Geoff — How is your dad? Sorry to hear you and HE ended up in the ER.
Hey Geoff – really sorry to hear about your dad — I hope everything is OK.
And I hope you can manage to have some fun w/ the wee girl in CA.
Looks like things are OK, though he’s still in the hospital.
Hope he gets out soon, Geoff. Take care and say hi to Mrs. Geoff for me.
Good wishes, Geoff.

ummm…hate to be pedantic, but when I was blindfolded, paddled, and forced to wear Wizard Of Oz garb as part of my hazing here at IB, I was reminded that it’s a commenting site, not a blog.
Hell, that Batman guy who is waaayyy too happy to detail what goes on in that creepy shower of his reminded all of us of that fact.
geoff – sorry to hear about your dad. Hospitals are no fun. I hope he recovers soon.
eddie – forced to wear Wizard Of Oz garb
So that was you!
^meh. At least it was the Tin Man, and not Dorothy

I can break the rules a little bit. I made partner last year. I’m safe unless everyone gets pissed at Mitt Romney and votes me out.
^oh. I see.
