This was taken this morning. It is the disaster that is the “Ballpark Village” that was supposed to be part of the newest Busch Stadium. As you can see, this is the most development this area has seen since old Busch Stadium was demolished.

Anyone can have a bad century, right?

And the most accurate.

Rome is on it’s 13th, so I guess that is fitting.

Eddie is pitching and catching tonight.

Rosetta and Bert are going to Florida???

6. eddiebear - January 28, 2009

who is the pitcher in that deal?

7. BrewFan - January 29, 2009

I can’t imagine being a Cubs fan and having to feel the shame of my team being a perpetual loser and having to take the ribbing from millions of other baseball fans. I’ve resolved to be a kinder and gentler baseball fan and not taunt Cubs fans.

That picture is hilarious, btw.

Oops.

8. BrewFan - January 29, 2009

Oh, I almost forgot. That picture indicates there are Brewers fans living in St. Louis. How do I know? All the words are spelled correctly so it couldn’t have been a Cardinals fan.

9. composmentis - January 29, 2009

Brewer’s fans have no leg to stand on when it comes to giving other teams shit. They’re the babies of the league, having only been around since 1969. And in that 40 years, have they won a World Series? No. They have been to the series only once, in 1982, and to whom did they lose? The Cardinals, that’s who. They wanted to be like the Cardinals so badly that they actually changed leagues and joined the same division.

Cardinals can suck a fat one too, though. There’s only one team in baseball that is worthy – The Cincinnati Reds.

Brewers fans = Milwaukee Braves fans = 3 World Series = 1 World Series victory. Do the math, hater.

11. eddiebear - January 29, 2009

I was told there would be no math on this site.

Can we keep the snow cover there at “Ballpark village”?. It would be less embarrasing for the city of St. Louis than to showcase the vacant lot during the all star game festivities.

13. composmentis - January 29, 2009

Brew, are you talking about the Seattle Butt-Pirates?

14. BrewFan - January 29, 2009

Brew, are you talking about the Seattle Butt-Pirates?

We don’t talk about that part of our history because it included Jim Bouton.

Brewers Post Season Results:

Year Round Opponent Result

1982 World Series St. Louis Cardinals Lost, 3-4
AL Championship Series California Angels Won, 3-2

1981 AL Eastern Division Series New York Yankees Lost, 2-3

Almost reads like “French War Victories”, only the Brewers have fewer.

16. composmentis - January 29, 2009

Ohh, the Milwaukee Braves from 1953-1965, formerly known as the Boston Braves and after the Atlanta Braves.

Damn you’re old.
