“Lutheran” wasn’t even an option May 20, 2009

Posted by skinbad in Crime, Handblogging, Religion.

About 3 p.m., Tuesday, two men near 800 East and 900 South in Salt Lake City got into a discussion over whether Jesus was a Mormon or a Catholic. The discussion led to blows . . . .

Doesn’t it always?

1. Michael - May 20, 2009

So now we know that a drunk Catholic can whup a Mormon.

Skinny, I’m trying to figure out why you posted this.

2. Cathy - May 20, 2009

Man still conscious was intoxicated. GLAR!

in vino veritas

3. Michael - May 20, 2009

I mean, sheesh, it is sorta obvious that Mormons don’t get trained in kung fu fighting like Lutherans.

4. Sobek - May 20, 2009

I’m guessing from some context clues that Catholicism won the day.

5. Pupster - May 20, 2009

Uhm, yeah…I don’t think you should ASSUME the Mormon wasn’t the conscious, intoxicated one, or even that the unconscious combatant was sober as Sobek on a court day.

Trust me on this.

Don’t bring a catechism to a theology fight, Guilty McPoperson.

We’re still stuck at 128 flags on our new Flag Counter.

Man, it’s like life is not worth living any more.

11. Mrs. Peel - May 20, 2009

And here I thought Jesus was a Jew Joooo. Huh. You learn something new every day.

12. MCPO Airdale - May 20, 2009

Mrs. Peel – I concur. But then again, ever seen any pictures of Jesus in a yarmulke??

13. Vmaximus - May 20, 2009

Yo have more new visits than regulars. At H2 we have 4k regs and 200 visits.

14. Cathy - May 20, 2009

Kudos to the FBI for thwarting this tonight.

Thanks, Folks! WE all owe you.

15. Cathy - May 21, 2009

Another version of the story

16. Cathy - May 21, 2009

The NYPD were also involved, so KUDOs to them too.

17. composmentis - May 21, 2009

Whatever happened to “Turn the other cheek?”

And does it surprise anyone that the Catholic won the fight? Look at what they did when the Huguenots pissed them off.

As for the article Cathy linked, excellent job by law enforcement. I was glad to see the article call out the 4 terrorists as Muslim and not members of an undetermined cause.

Soon, they’ll be members of the USPBC (United States Prison Bitch Club).

“Lutheran” wasn’t even an option

Of course not because everyone knows that Scandis are spawns of Satan.

Oh wait. Thought this was Ace’s blog for a sec.

Never mind. Um…go Lutherans!

Personally I want to see the knife fight between ELCA & LCMS. Just to make it interesting, throw in WELS…

20. Sobek - May 21, 2009

Two and a half more days before I’m outta here. So if anyone is planning on throwing me a surprise party kind of post, just be aware that I leave early Sunday morning.

21. lauraw - May 21, 2009

*tears up*

Place won’t be the same without you, man.

22. lauraw - May 21, 2009

…you’ll be back, right? Eventually?

*big brimming-over eyes staring into your soul*

23. Michael - May 21, 2009

So if anyone is planning on throwing me a surprise party kind of post . . .

Not me. I was just going to delete you from the blogroll.

24. Retired Geezer - May 21, 2009

Hope you can hook up with us on Friday in Vegas.

25. Pupster - May 21, 2009

How can we miss you if you won’t go away?

26. kevlarchick - May 21, 2009

Where are you going Sobek? Are you allowed to tell us? Did you already tell us and I missed it?

27. Enas Yorl - May 21, 2009

Yah, we’re gonna see Cook E. Jarr at the Hacienda Sobek! You can’t leave Vegas without seeing the Cookster!

28. Michael - May 21, 2009

Where are you going Sobek? Are you allowed to tell us? Did you already tell us and I missed it?

He didn’t say exactly, but he might be out in 4 years with good behavior.

29. Lipstick - May 21, 2009

The Hacienda?

30. Enas Yorl - May 21, 2009

32. Farewell, Sobek « Innocent Bystanders - May 22, 2009

[…] actually, this was not my idea, Sobek pretty much begged for this in a comment thread below.  But, hey, it’s a good idea, even if it came from […]

33. Retired Geezer - May 22, 2009

*Geezer smacks his forehead.

I knew it was a hotel that started with the letter “H”.

Yeah, it’s Harrah’s.
