1. Enas Yorl - June 26, 2009

Nice funnel.

I’m off to Alaska! See you guys later. If’n you want I have a new watercolor painting up at my place – go take a look. Kinda different.

2. skinbad - June 26, 2009

Impressive. To everyone but Kevlar, that is. Have fun Enas.

3. geoff - June 26, 2009

Compare and contrast the vacations:

Enas beats the heat by heading to Alaska
geoff & family meet the heat by heading to Zion and Phoenix

I think I need help with my vacation planning.

Have a great time, Enas.

4. Will - June 26, 2009

You gonna hit the Salt while you’re down here. I’m going tomorrow if the rest of my crew can decide what the hell they’re doing.

5. wiserbud - June 26, 2009

F*CK SALT!

6. geoff - June 26, 2009

You gonna hit the Salt while you’re down here.

Tubing is the raison d’etre of the Phoenix trip. Next Thursday & Friday.

7. Cathy - June 26, 2009

Enjoy vacation with your family, Geoff.

8. sandy burger - June 26, 2009

Off topic, just in time for the weekend:

If you feel the need to mix your Zwack (Unicum Next) liqueur with an energy drink, and you’re wondering how to go about doing that, here’s how.

9. Michael - June 26, 2009

I gotta admit, I had never heard of Zwack. Is this what the kids are drinking now instead of Jaegermeister and Red Bull?

10. sandy burger - June 26, 2009

I don’t think the kids these days have heard of it. Uncultured louts.

Zwack is a Hungarian liqueur which is somewhat similar to Jaegermeister. It tastes much better, in my opinion, and its conveniently shaped bottle is perfect for making a Molotov cocktail, should you happen to get invaded by Russian troops.

Their original drink is Zwack Unicum. Unicum is the signature beverage of the Sandy Burger Experience. I’m pretty sure I’ve waxed poetic about it here before. “Also spracht der Kaiser: Das ist ein Unikum!” Poetry.

However, Unicum is very bitter. Most people can’t handle it.

So, they came out with Unicum Next, which they’re marketing in the US as just “Zwack”. (It’s confusing that the name of their new drink is just their company/family name, but whatever.)

If you like Jaegermeister, graduate to Zwack. On the other hand, if you’re a real man, then Zwack Unicum might be for you.

-What does the Unibomber produce when he zwacks?

-Unicum!

12. Mrs. Peel - June 26, 2009

Ok, so Enas is already gone, but I will belatedly wish him a great time anyway. And I will wish geoff an early great time.

*dusts hands off* There, all set.

13. daveintexas - June 26, 2009

Mrs. DinT is in the Caymans. And I’m not.

I think I messed up some project planning somewheres.

14. Lipstick - June 26, 2009

I think I messed up some project planning somewheres.

Yep. Dude?!

15. Dave in Texas - June 26, 2009

I hear it’s nice there.

17. doc - June 26, 2009

Least she’s not going to Argentina – just sayin.

18. Vmaximus - June 26, 2009

Good Diving and Fishing DiT,
do you like to fish or dive?

19. Michael - June 26, 2009

I hear it’s nice there.

Me too. We were going to go there a few years ago, but some hurricane wrecked our hotel. We ended up in Aruba instead (just off the coast of Venezuala), a couple of years before the whole Natalie thing. Aruba was OK. Great climate and totally outside the hurricane zone. We rented a Harley to get around, which was fun, and packed snorkel gear in the bags.

But Aruba is pretty much a desert outside of irrigated hotel properties. Most of the island is really barren. Not tropical at all. All their water comes from the world’s largest sea water desalination facility. They get almost no rain. The only serious industry on the island, aside from tourism and hosting retirees, is a Valero refinery at one end of the island, adjacent to the red-light district.

The upside to Aruba is that you are guaranteed a vacation with virtually no weather risk. The weather will be pleasant and sunny, all day year round. It’s a former Dutch colony with lots of Dutch expats, so it’s well run and very safe. The Dutch-Island cuisine is great.

20. kevlarchick - June 26, 2009

“Impressive. To everyone but Kevlar, that is.”

And what is that supposed to mean, young man? I love Enas’ art. I happen to have a fine ceramic SKULL on my desk made by Enas, which people remark upon daily.

When he becomes famous, I will sell it at auction for millions.

21. Vmaximus - June 26, 2009

I have been to Turks and Cacos, Bimini, Grand Bahama, Long Island (bahamas not NY) St Maartin, St Thomas and San Juan.

Went fishing in every place.

Still like Marathon Fla Keys better

I did catch a bunch of sails off of Cancun in the spring of 2002.

22. skinbad - June 26, 2009

“Impressive. To everyone but Kevlar, that is.”

Meaning the funnel cloud. Not impressive because of the mocking of the pitifully sized Burger King sandwich.

23. Michael - June 26, 2009

Hmmmm. Sounds like Skinbad is backing away from a double entendre about how Kevlarchick is not easily impressed by large, writhing and forceful tubes.

Just sayin’.

24. Lipstick - June 26, 2009

Aruba = too windy.

25. kevlarchick - June 27, 2009

I get it Skinny. I thought you were talking about Enas’ artistic abilities.

We all know it’s not the size of the snake that counts.

26. lauraw - June 27, 2009

…writhing?

*pensive and slightly worried expression*

27. Enas Yorl - July 2, 2009

I don’t think this image is real. Its edited. Lot more you can do it with Photoshop. And this also made by that application. I’m not inspired of it, really.
