wish everybody could PAY ATTENTION
appears to have had an obstruction………..
wtf?. Could an obstruction like mud or a pebble cause that?
mud, twig….looks damp where they are Elk hunting. Could have even been caused by water in the barrel although not likely as he appears to be aiming down hill slightly. He doesnt load the chamber just before shooting but checks to verify that a round is in place. I find it a bit strange that the cameraman stays oriented to the gun after the shot all the way to the ground.
I could hear the elk singing in the background. It’s probably not safe to throw a rifle to the ground like that either.
Coulda been mud. Hard to say.
But I would have thrown it down like that.
And gone to change my pants.
(bolt action rifle, so tossing it was ok, another round wasn’t chambered)
He’s lucky to be alive.
Meh.
Bugs Bunny does that to Elmer Fudd all the time. With his fingers.
Always check for obstructions. I think I was 8 when the Colonel taught me that.
You mean like this? http://tinyurl.com/lmp9x8
Holy Crap!
That was one lucky Elk.
THere aRE NO AcciDENts
reason –
#1 our reference is a bolt action rifle.
#2 the hunter has obviously stalked the elk for some time
#3 if you don’t protect the barrel with a condom, or other device, the barrel will foul.
#4 I am more than happy if you wish to check your revolver in that manner. I’m sure Mr. Darwin would approve.
Awww, c’mon, Airdale. It was for teh lulz…
