Wii Curling Demonstrated February 26, 2010

Posted by Michael in Humor.

. . . by the hosts of the Australia Today show, who no doubt wish this segment had been thought through a little better.

Thanks to Doug for the link.

Ohhhhhhh. My.

2. wiserbud - February 26, 2010

We were watching curling the other night and I jokingly asked my son if they made a WiiCurling game.

Guess I’ll drop that subject right quick.

Just trying to connect the dots, here….

/ begin rant

OK, the closing ceremonies of the Olympics were the lamest in a long time.
The director was clueless.
They would have thousands of dancers making intricate Busby Berkley moves and the director would cut away to closeups of some kids or the Freaking Torch.
Mrs. Geezer is an Olympics Junkie and I watch quite a bit of it with her but even she turned off the closing ceremonies.
The Russian preview of the next Winter Games was especially bad.

Pope Out

12. Cathy - February 28, 2010

As USA lost Hockey Gold in sudden-death OT,
self diagnosed with Winter-Olympic withdrawal,
turned it off, no regrets.

You think that looks bad? My wife brought my attention to this infomercial last night, for a contraption called the “Shake Weight for Women.”

This HAD to be intentional. If i would have saw it first on YouTube, I might have thought it a parody, but they were selling it on TV!

14. skinbad - March 1, 2010

I came home after a meeting last night and my wife was watching the closing ceremonies with a WTHH (holy hell) expression. She kept asking me, “Is this as bad as I think it is?” I guess she was thinking it HAD to get better, she finally turned it off.

15. Retired Geezer - March 1, 2010

I guess she was thinking it HAD to get better, she finally turned it off.

We turned it off sooner.
We’re not as gracious as Mrs. Skinbad.

And another thing I hate is when the crowd starts clapping (out of rhythm) with the music.

*Note to Olympic Committee Members: Ban all Clapping; 10 second penalty.
