Have they auto-tuned The Rent’s too Damn High yet? They should

That was pretty cool. Not as cool as my new Droid X phone is going to be, but still.

I have a Droid 2. I don’t like it. It’s a little too big, and the software is annoying and buggy (not the android OS itself, but the apps and the “skin”). I probably should have gotten a Droid X or an Incredible.

I wanted an android phone, so I can (in theory at least) write programs for it without having to deal with Apple.

The Blackberry is better than all of them combined, of course, but I wanted something a little bit more fun.

I didn’t even look at the blackberries – I don’t want one. They’re too corporate. In the reviews I read about the D2, they did mention some buggyness. One of the advantages of the X is that’s been out a bit longer so they’ve worked some early issues out with software updates. They’ll do the same with D2 I’m sure. The Incredible got really good reviews too and was in my final two. In the end I just liked the feature set of the X a bit more.

I agree, Mitchell — I have a Blackberry and never use it. The screen is too small for my old eyes and the mechanical keyboard is too small for my big clumsy hands.

iPhone originally did not work with corporate servers, so I had to carry a Blackberry. That has changed. It now works just as well with my company’s servers so I have access to everything on Outlook at work, it opens any attachment, and it’s much easier to use.

I roll old school on a HTC Droid Eris…love it but would go Incredible if upgrading today. Those Motorolas are packed with goodies but too big for my taste. iPhone won’t work at the family cabin, or I might go that route (writing this on an iPad)…have tried the latest Blackberries and they just do nothing for me any more. I enjoy watching Android take market share from Apple…competition is a beautiful thing. But then Google is evil too.

Google will own your soul if you let them. Read their privacy policy sometime, and reconsider whether you want to use Gmail.

They have been officially declared as anathema according to Pure Lutheran Doctrine™.

I don’t make this shit up; I just get the memos from Lutheran Millennium HQ.

I’m not thrilled about Google in general (I use Bing) but I got the Droid X at the store last night. I have to say I’m blown away. The potential inherent these devices (iPhone, Droid, eWhatever) is absolutely astounding.
