I’m up for it. Mrs. BrewFan and I watched Jack and Jill last night and the only positive that came out of that clusterf*** of a movie is that whatever movie we watch next is going to be better.

2. digitalbrownshirt - March 18, 2012

I haven’t heard a single good thing about that one other than it makes everything else look pretty good in comparison.

If nothing else, ALVH will at least have a Republican as a good guy.

3. Mitchell - March 18, 2012

I can’t believe they made a movie out of this premise. Oh sure I’ll still go see it.

4. digitalbrownshirt - March 19, 2012

At least it’s an original idea instead of a reboot, remake or based on a tv series. I saw the book at the local library a few years ago and was tempted to read it just because it sounded so bizarre.

It’s original? Really? Ever heard of Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

Little known fact, the very first aired ad for BtVS showed a series of slayers through the ages, including one that looked suspiciously like Mary Todd Lincoln.

Michael - March 19, 2012

Buffy is HOT.

Abe is not.

Guess which show I’m interested in.

Michael - March 19, 2012

Actually, the Buffy TV series did not interest me at all. The plots were juvenile. If I could have hoped for even one Janet-Jackson-nipple-slip I might have watched it. But I was pretty sure that wasn’t going to happen.

Something like that would need to be on at about 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday after everyone else has gone to bed and maybe some people would watch it. You know, something like “Relic Hunter” starring Tia Carrere as a sexy archaeologist that has her running around the jungle in skimpy outfits and getting sweaty from the heat and the sexual tension with her repressed British assistant Nigel.

Maybe some people would watch something like that.

Think of the possibilities. 150 years hence! BHO will be the centerpiece of “Barack the Magic Negro VanHelsing Meets the WolfMan”, and definitely feature a climax similar to that Gwen DeMarco, Galaxy Quest boobescense.

8. digitalbrownshirt - March 19, 2012

I’m pretty sure 150 years from now BHO will still be the yardstick for how bad a President can be.

9. Mitchell - March 19, 2012

I liked Buffy T.V.S. Alas during its original eight season run I was either working or taking night classes and missed most of episodes. Happily I discovered I can watch them via Amazon in their original order for free. It’s still a good show and frankly better than most of what is on these days.

10. lauraw - March 19, 2012

After BHO is no longer president, it will be considered racist to MENTION HIM.

11. daveintexas - March 19, 2012

aaaand the time limit on videos crushes my soul.

private? I never even heard of that.

Michael - March 19, 2012

Dang, I can’t find Relic Hunter on NetFlix.

12. Sobek - March 20, 2012

Bad news. After sitting at my computer waaay past my bedtime and deleting everything I tried to write for my novel, I give up for the week. No updates. My apologies.

The guy who did ALVH also did Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which was a literary masterpiece. Anyone who says otherwise, I will fight with a trident.

13. Michael - March 20, 2012

Anyone who says otherwise, I will fight with a trident.

Challenge accepted.

I’m sure you have awesome trident skilz. I’ll bring my 12 gauge Mossberg loaded with buckshot, which should even the odds in this fight.

14. kevl - March 20, 2012

I like a claymore or viking battle axe.

I prefer an SKS, from as big a distance as I can get.
