For The Fallen September 27, 2012

And their loved ones.
We have paid a terrible price.
To fallen soldiers let us sing,
Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing,
Our broken brothers let us bring
To the Mansions of the Lord
No more weeping,
No more fight,
No friends bleeding through the night,
Just Devine embrace,
Eternal light,
In the Mansions of the Lord
Where no mothers cry
And no children weep,
We shall stand and guard
Though the angels sleep,
Oh, through the ages let us keep
The Mansions of the Lord

Love that hymn. God bless them and keep them.
Amen to that. My daughter is going into Basic Training in January at Ft. Jackson SC.
I also love the Navy hymn:
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea
Yep
I am still moved to tears by the prayer that Boy Scouts would use to say grace before a campfire meal.
Rubba Dub Dub.
Thanks for the grub.
(clarinet solo ending in a screech of chomped reeds)
Yea God!
