77 degrees on Monday, and today it’s snowing. 4 – 8″, they say.

This is so Colorado.

The fields are full of ice from the sprinklers this morning, but no snow for us.

84 here but a high tomorrow of 61

Steady as she goes here. We could use a good soaking rain. Dry, dry, dry.

Ma Nature waited until the blossoms on my cherry, apricot and plum trees came out to zap ’em with a cold snap.

I’m not happy with that!

Ol Moses loves to come out by the pool at night. But he just settles down on the deck and snoozes.

Showing his age I guess.

Sorry to hear that OBF! Are you on the edge of a desert-type climate?

Plums and apricots are blooming here. Supposed to be mid 20s tonight. They’re going to get hammered.

How big are your trees? In the mid-20’s you can still save some fruit by throwing tarps and sheets over branches.

Lauraw – Mountains behind us (looking north); Desert below us (looking south). The frost this morning wasn’t as bad as it could have been. There may be some small chance that a few blossoms made it through.

Kind of like rooting for the Utah Jazz…maybe next year will be better!

Peaches right off the tree are so great. They don’t do well up here without a lot of spraying, though. Every bug and fungus in the world loves them as much as we do.

Squirrels love them too. I couldn’t shoot squirrels fast enough with a pellet rifle to keep them out of my peach tree in St. Louis.
