Hubris Much? August 7, 2013

If you were afraid that after comparing himself to Reagan, Gandhi, and Lincoln, our President might have run out of wildly inappropriate stretches, worry no more:
President Obama is slated to deliver a speech later this month commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington in which Martin Luther King Jr. gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Obama will deliver his speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial — the same place where King spoke 50 years ago. The Let Freedom Ring ceremony will be held Aug. 28.
If ego were jobs, President Obama would have met and exceeded every single one of his economic goals.
It is like Obama is taking almost all of the fun out of Obama-bashing. He is becoming a parody of what conservatives said he was in the first place, as he treads the familiar path of posers from adulation to criticism to scorn to mockery . . .
The last way station on that path is pity, and God help me, I’m actually starting to feel sorry for the guy.
