Hard to decide, but I think #6 is my favorite.

2. Retired Geezer - August 20, 2013

Wow, I think I may have missed seeing a couple of those. Thanks for the one-stop link.

I’ll have to embiggen them all to see which one I like best.

3. lauraw - August 20, 2013

#3 by miles.

4. Tushar - August 20, 2013

I like the Japanese themed one. Japanese culture has always intrigued and impressed me.

My mother always felt ‘called to’ by Asian art. She viscerally appreciates spare forms and simplicity. Which is why she has shit-tons of that stuff piled busily, haphazardly, around the place.

The irony…

6. skinbad - August 20, 2013

I find myself inexplicably drawn to the “Kiss: Alive!” box set in #1.

Laura likes #3 because of the pagan gods in the corners.

I read a book about Japanese art and thought, “Ooh, I want to try that!” So that’s how #7 happened, and that’s why it’s so different from everything else. At first I wanted to make it more like the others by making the architectural elements look like pagodas or something, but there was no way to make that work. I like how it turned out.

Ironically, that serene and idyllic scene is now in a dentist’s office.

#6 has lines of text around the rectangle in the center that are so small, my sister had the poster for years before she even realized they were there. I had to point it out for her. It’s called micrography, and I want to do more of it.

8. Tushar - August 21, 2013

I thought Laura would love #1. That right edge that looks like a rat gnawed on it is so gloriously assymetrical.

9. Steve B - August 21, 2013

Man, do you sell your stuff anywhere? I’d buy just about any of those!

10. daveintexas - August 21, 2013

I really like the frame on #3

11. Retired Geezer - August 21, 2013

I like #3 where you have all the hands reaching toward the center of the picture.

… Hey, wait a minute.

I’ve seen that Meme before.

12. Sobek - August 21, 2013

Those are trees.

Steve B, send me an email. I’m at crocopundit, followed by that little swirly thing at means “at,” and then it’s a hotmail account.

16. geoff - August 21, 2013

Steve B, send me an email

…and some human skin.

I do like #1 too. But to my eye, it works best as a decorative medallion, which is to more properly say, from a distance.

When I get in close, some of the imagery is a bit puckery to me.

#4 is an awesomely strong piece, and it doesn’t care that I don’t like symmetry. It’s just going to sit there smelling like leather and aftershave, and I’m gonna like it regardless of my own silly little rules. That’s my second favorite.

18. daveintexas - August 21, 2013

All serial aside Sobek, I admire your work and I have some feel for the hours you pour into it.

I don’t know how to do that exactly. Except in key signatures with five #s

Even that isn’t the same.

19. wiserbud, wuzong of the yuan. - August 22, 2013

I do like #1 too.

I like #1 also, but mainly for the Kiss Alive CD in the pic.

Seriously, this is some pretty amazing stuff. Very impressive and beautiful.

20. gengap - August 27, 2013

absolutely incredible. You’re a genius!!!!!!!!!

21. geoff - August 27, 2013

That’s what the card says.
