And the Internet Collectively Wets its Panties January 6, 2015

If I watched television, I might possibly, kinda sorta consider watching this.*

My favorite quote from the article:

“As a gay Christian man who’s seen first hand how this message can harm people, I am calling on TLC to cancel ‘My Husband’s Not Gay’ and to stop telling America that LGBT people should lie to themselves and to their faith communities about who they are and who they love.”

That’s right.  All gay men should think, act and believe exactly like you.  Because diversity.  And tolerance.

* No, I wouldn’t.

I can see where he would be confused. TV has been used as a preachy social soapbox for so long, he doesn’t even have the capacity to understand that the show can be an exploration of these people’s experiences, and not a propaganda tool.

So it looks like he’s saying we can’t even know that these people exist and are making sense of their lives without his consent. Which can’t possibly be true. Nobody is that big of a censorious fascist…right?

“…and are making sense of their lives without his consent.”

Exactly. Anyone who feels same-sex attraction, as he does, must react to it exactly as he does, or else they are monsters.
