Yet More Fashion Advice March 2, 2015

Posted by geoff in Fashion, News.

I always welcome the chance to guide and instruct on the very serious business of fashion, particularly since I myself have such a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area. For example, I doubt that there are many who can say they’ve worn a t-shirt for as many consecutive days as have I. You know you’re intimate with fashion when it actually melds with your body.

In any case, this particular entry in our fashion notebook offers particular advantages for the hump-enabled among us. In fact, I suspect this garb may conceal and distract from many of the less attractive features that plague the unfortunates who visit this site.

Attractive, functional, and in a strong wind, a cheap and convenient means of transport.

Fashion is like my second calling.

The correct term is “differently humped.”

Don’t google that, BTW.

Adapting the old Sukimoto joke:

Admiral: Gentlemen, I have here a telegram from the doctor saying that that person we thought was following lauraw around is actually her hump.

Staff (in unison): A hump?!?!?!

Admiral: So the question is, how do we break the news to her with the least trauma?

Commander: I know – we assemble the crew on deck, and have lauraw take one step forward. Then we say, “Scullery Maid lauraw, it’s a hump.”

Staff (muttering): That’s good…really good… that should do it…

Admiral: No, that’s far too abrupt. Anybody else?

Captain: I agree, we need to be more roundabout. What we need to do is assemble the crew on deck, have lauraw step forward, and say “Scullery Maid lauraw, you know that thing on your back that you were wondering what it was but you didn’t think it was a hump?

It’s a hump.”

Staff (muttering): Oh, that’s very good…very subtle…soft touch…

Admiral: No, that’s still too abrupt. Assemble the crew on deck and I’ll deal with it.

***** Later, On Deck *****

Admiral Crew, I’d like everyone who does not have a hump on their back to take one step forward….not so fast, lauraw!!

Buncha sweet-talking devils.

It really isn’t a hump. It’s a parasitic twin that nobody has quite figured out how to scrape/ cut/ burn off yet.

In any case, it’s too big to cover up with that dainty little collar in the photo.

It’s true. I saw an eye. And a tooth

That Sukimoto joke always cracks me up…
