This is a pretty handy thing to have if your power/water goes out during an emergency.
Since we’re on a well, my power = water.

They sell pre-made seats for buckets so you don’t need a foam noodle to sit on:

Peat moss or kitty litter is another way to keep things under control in the bottom of the bucket.

The foam noodle could be a “floatie.” Maybe that’s a bad context for that term.

4. Tushar - June 22, 2015

We need Compos Mentis’s take on this.

5. Sobek - June 23, 2015

Tushar, I’m living pretty close to you for a few months. Have you heard of any moron meet ups?

6. Tushar - June 24, 2015

Sobek, they hold something in northern virginia with some regularity. And something in northern New Jersey once in a while. I will keep an eye out.

Where exactly are you? If you are within driving distance, we can break bread together.

7. Sobek - June 25, 2015

For Indian food, anywhere is within driving distance (except for India – my car rental people would probably have an issue with that).

I’m near Dulles, I guess. I really don’t know the geography around here.

8. geoff - June 26, 2015

From the very scant understanding I had about Tushar’s whereabouts, I don’t think Dulles is very close.

9. Tushar - June 26, 2015

Sobek, I am about 240 miles away. But I will probably be in Virginia for a week in Oct, where my wife will attend a conference with one kid in tow, and I will be basically goofing off with the other kid. We can meet then.

I have your phone number- area code from our largest westerly state, and ends in number 9. Is that still accurate?

10. Sobek - June 26, 2015

That’s still my number. Keep in mind, when you live in California, everything on the east coast is close together.
