Ah – almost forgot that today is the first Friday of the month, meaning that the Bureau of Labor Statistics has released the Employment Situation Report for August. There’s always a lot of brouhaha about “jobs added” and “the unemployment rate,” both of which are meaningless without the context of population growth and whether those “jobs added” are full-time or part-time.

Yeah, we just crawled sideways this month, so don’t let those news reports get you optimistic.
