Unemployment for October 2015: November 6, 2015

The media are alight with the news that 271,000 jobs were added to the economy last month, but let’s see how the month stacks up by the IB metric:
So, better than last month, but nothing special. It’s probably better because the weeks lined up better
Most of the jobs were added in low-paying jobs like retail sales, temps, social assistance, and serving food, though professional & technical services (probably relatively high paying jobs) accounted for 10% of the job increase.
