Problem: Fewer Terrorists in US, So We’re Safer Than EU. Solution: Add More Terrorists! November 15, 2015Posted by geoff in News.
Team Obama gives us their “comforting” terrorist threat assessment:
President Barack Obama’s national security team is sending a message Sunday that might lend at least a glimmer of reassurance to Americans traumatized by the terror attacks in Paris.
Saying that while the ISIS ambition is certainly there to launch similar attacks on U.S. shores, the capability is not great.
Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes told reporters that one big difference between the situation in Europe and that in the U.S. is that “thousands” of fighters have traveled to Syria and then returned to Europe. That number being tracked in America is far smaller– around 40, according to the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper earlier this year.
It would be more comforting if they weren’t working so hard to increase the number of fighters in the US:
National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes says the Obama administration is still planning on allowing Syrian refugees to enter the U.S. despite Friday’s terrorist attack in Paris where at least one of the attackers had a Syrian passport.
If I were to execute my nefarious master plan, whereby I’d aid and abet Islamic terrorists while trying to make it seem like I wasn’t on their side, my policy would look a lot like President Obama’s.
