9/11 conspiracists will never give up their Rosie O’Donnell-esque “fire can’t melt steel” nonsense. This fellow is fed up with it, and shows them why their argument is completely irrelevant.

I just saw this at Legal Insurrection and was going to post it. You beat me to it.
Good job.

I love this. Earlier today I was thinking about the various gun-grabbing arguments and also thinking about how many people I know who do metal fabricating out of their garages. And my own brief experience with metal fabricating as a yoot.

Making a firing weapon is just so easy for millions of people. I don’t think certain political folks really understand how many garage foundries and talented machinists there are. Just in my neck of the woods, there are an awful lot.

There’s a big disconnect in this country between people who make things and therefore understand how things are made (and the related physics), and those who do not.

When I was a kid in elementary school I wrote a paper on fire safety and one of the major points in it was how steel beams warp more quickly under intense heat while wooden beams actually stand stronger, for a little while.

Elementary school.

I saw it at Digg and couldn’t pass it up.

I think I’ll add Legal Insurrection to the sidebar links.
