No, Hillary, YOU’RE ISIS’ Best Recruiter December 20, 2015

Hillary talking about ISIS recruiting:

All three Democratic presidential candidates went after Republican Donald Trump during Saturday night’s Democratic debate, but one of the starkest claims came from frontrunner Hillary Clinton.

Because of his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the U.S., Clinton said Trump “is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter,” referring to the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.

“They are going to people showing them videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists,” she said.

No, Ms. Clinton, ISIS’s best recruiter is success – as some wag once said, “nothing succeeds like success.” And our president’s tepid efforts to curb ISIS have allowed them to enjoy a level of success that could have easily been denied them. That success, in turn, led to an influx of radical Islamic followers from all over the globe.

Donald Trump could insult Islam and Muslims all day long and it would still pale in comparison to permitting ISIS to declare a caliphate and occupy large sections of Syria and Iraq.

And whose policy let them do that? Let’s see, the leader of the country and the person in charge of US foreign policy certainly come to mind, don’t they?

Lefties use our hostility to terrorists as a bogeyman against us. They themselves are not hostile to the islamists, because they misunderstand them. Indeed, they yearn to repurpose that violence and make it more righteous.

From Ace’s post yesterday:

In the minds of some progressives, terrorists’ main failing is their inability to distinguish worthy American targets from forbidden ones.

THIS. They want to align themselves with the mean dog. If you own a mean dog, you don’t have to be afraid of it. Everybody else has to be afraid.

He mentioned Michael Moore’s lamentation on 9/11 that the terrorists had chosen the wrong victims, wishing instead they had struck the heartland.

More recently, Obama and his admin is found to be hamstringing agencies tasked with finding and stopping terrorists, and after every attack warn us not to commit imaginary acts of ‘islamophobia’ and ‘backlash’ that seem to terrify them far more than the numerous and actual mass murders committed in Islam’s name.

How much more clear do they have to be?

Sorry, lauraw, but “Righties” have zero credibility on this issue. I guess we’re supposed to forget the Iraq invasion ever happened? Or just accept that it was a stunning success?

I watch the GOP debates, listen to Hannity on the radio, read this blog — and I’ve yet to hear one practicable, coherent idea about how this might be handled better.

Every conservative “idea” can be summarized in two words: Obama sucks.

Handled better? How about *not* abandoning the Iraqis when they were in a tender moment of fledgling democracy and quite literally begging us to leave a stabilizing presence in their country?

Don’t leave yet. This was a “coherent idea” expressed by the Right, over and over again!

This idea was dismissed by Obama, who thought he could look better by summarily withdrawing our forces. Well, the extermination and rape of the Yazidis is on him now, and all the others that ISIS has murdered and thrown into slavery.

The reason ISIS now covers continents and openly attacks civilization is because Obama had a single short-sighted wish to be able to say “I ended the occupation.” Kudos, dipshit.

Parts of it were. And while there were a rough four years at the outset, certainly by the time President Obama took the reins, the country was well along the road to peace and stability.

I’ve yet to hear one practicable, coherent idea about how this might be handled better.

Let’s start with, how about being frank with the American public about the actual size and capabilities of ISIS? That’s kind of coherent.

And how about more aggressive bombing when ISIS had a much smaller footprint? That was a pretty coherent idea we had last year.

How about directly arming the Kurds adequately and without all the delays? Yep, that was part of our strategy.

How about cutting off ISIS oil sales? Simple, practical, coherent.

How about listening to David Petraeus again? Yep, I’m advocating that.

And Obama sucks.

Really? That’s it? OK u just convinced me to donate $25 to Bernie Sanders

Really? That’s it?

Not really. But anytime I can convince a liberal to spend his own money like an idiot instead of spending our money like an idiot, it’s a good day. So I’ll stop here.

Geoff — first of all, Merry Christmas — second, is there any doubt I’d vote for YOU to implement those moves??
