Anyone Can Blog ~ Commenting Is Hard
We live in the closest suburb to Oklahoma City that has legal fireworks sales so everybody comes here to celebrate. It’s like a war zone outside when this picture was taken. She’s not impressed.
Poor little pooch.
I celebrated the holiday by teaching my niece and my sister-in-law how to shoot some pistols, and two of my brothers-in-law brought out their AR-15s so all the kids could shoot those, too. None of them cried like a journalist bitch at any point.
Good one, DBS.
Probably should post this song to stir your emotions:
Sobek: She’s asleep in that picture. Oddly enough she’s excited when she sees fireworks, but the noise is kind of meaningless to her.
We used to have that same couch, or one almost identical to it.
Many local fires here recently caused by ‘illegal fireworks’. You can buy mortars and stuff that goes up in the air and explodes as long as you sign an affidavit that says you won’t ignite them in Idaho.
The Boise Fire Chief wants the legislature to consider banning them.
Lauraw: That’s the official dog couch in our house. It’s the only piece of furniture that dogs are allowed to sit on in our house.
RG: I think somebody burned down a neighbor’s house here in OK, but I’m not sure. I saw part of the story, but the local news has a crappy habit of reporting on stupid stuff that has nothing to do with OK when there’s nothing else to that they’re willing to talk about.
Lauraw: That’s the official dog couch in our house. It’s the only piece of furniture that dogs and Scott are allowed to sit on in our house.
Late to the party. But we celebrated the 4th in Colorado with family — including my son who flew in from Boston and daughter who came in from Boulder… AND… family on my husband’s side which included…
Isaac of The Fray, who is now a distant relative of mine by marriage. Yup. He’s quite sweet and so is his lovely wife, Anna, and his adorable son, Jude.
Lots of fireworks, even though it is illegal there too. *snigger*
Yeah… we fed 22 people. Hubby did the BBQ, son helped with flavoring, marinades, clean-up, and most everyone brought something to share. We furnished meats, beer, and wine.
