Y’all may require the period back in 2006 – 2008 where I kept posting long, heavily documented posts on the military and economic ascendance of Russia and China. I stopped posting about it because it seemed to get old, and because it wasn’t like the current administration was going to do anything about it. And, of course, there were many skeptics who thought both Russia and China were too technologically and economically backwards to pose a threat in the next couple of decades, and I got tired of trying to educate them.

But today we have this:

The Russian Air Force Is Back: Stealth, Su-35s and Syria

*stretches lazily*

I don’t think I need to say another word.

Dang. Well. That’s great, Geoff. Congratulations.

We’re so fortunate to have a CinC right now that degrades our abilities while the other guys – truly deserving of superpower status and who really can be trusted not to use it for evil- catch up.

Oh well, at least we can look forward to a great next president! Someone who won’t sell us all down the river while amassing wealth for themselves! Whichever one it may be!

*curls up into a little ball and moans softly for seven hours*

Dang. Well. That’s great, Geoff. Congratulations.

Well yeah – I had to find something upbeat in a story that ought to be making the administration’s (and everybody in America’s) blood run cold.

I remember those days. You were dead on.

Now, they still have the problem of how to pay for all this fancy machinery…

See-Dubya!

*checks calendar to see what year it is*

I’m stunned. We’ve got to be in the Wayback Machine for See-Dubya to be here.
