Can We All At Least Agree On One Thing? November 3, 2016

Resolved: That journalists and their editors should avoid the temptation to use the phrase “Weiner probe” in their column titles.

  • “Computer seized in Weiner probe…” (WaPo)

  • “New emails under review in Clinton case emerged from Weiner probe” (USA Today)

  • “Donohue asks for Weiner probe” (Catholic League)

  • “FBI found ‘gray area’ emails in Weiner probe” (HuffPo)

  • “New Clinton Emails Found In FBI Weiner Probe” (CBS News)

The list goes on and on, but I’m sure you get the gist.

Journalists, step away from the keyboard and think twice before going for the low-hanging fruit.

Errrr…

I am sad that no one had a headline, Clinton camp wary of Weiner taint.
