I might be the only person in America that was disappointed in this movie. The action sequences are top notch and I’m certain the Marvel fans will love it, but I had a hard time looking past some obvious plot devices that were used throughout the movie simply to move the film in the right direction. There will be a few times when you’ll actually say to yourself “Why would anybody do that?” and “Don’t the bad guys know they’re mutants?” as they go rushing into slashing blades and other mutant related mayhem.

The R rating is well deserved, so if cursing and graphic violence are a problem then you probably should skip this one.

Saw the Lego Batman movie. Not bad. Kind of heavy-handed with the whole “relationships” theme, but it managed to be funny. I’m getting so old, though – all the action moves by so fast that half the time I have no idea what’s going on.

I liked the Batman movie a lot more. It’s one of the few Batman movies that are actually about Batman and why he’s such a lunatic. Most of the movies seem like they’re more about whoever he’s fighting than about him.
