Boise is under flood warnings because of all the snowfall this winter.
Most of the reservoirs are full so they need to release some of the water.
The flow of the Boise river is expected to reach 9500cfs this week.

Federal dam managers will raise flows on Boise River to 9,500 cubic feet per second by Tuesday, and the odds that flows will go higher than 10,000 cfs have risen to above 10 percent, they say.

Releases of 9,500 cfs will near the peak flow of 1983, the highest the river has been since Lucky Peak Dam was built in 1955. That will mean additional flooding in Eagle Island, Garden City, Star, Caldwell and Boise, with water over parts of Warm Springs Golf Course, Municipal Park in East Boise and more of the Greenbelt.

The water level is just below the bridges. If it raises enough to hit the bridge, it might take a bad detour through some neighborhoods.
Yesterdays monsoon/thunderstorm probably didn’t help.

We’re supposed to get rain tomorrow, turning to snow Thursday night and Friday. I couldn’t believe we got snow a week and a half ago, and here it comes again.

My wife is in South Texas on business. We were talking last night around 11pm local time and she said it was 89 degrees. It had cooled down from 100 earlier.

Meanwhile we’re in peak tornado season here in Oklahoma, but at least the weather is nice between the storms. Not too hot, not too cold.

My sister and BIL have a cabin near Creede, CO. She posted a picture of snow there today.

Friday, it did not rain, and so we started the replacement of our detached garage roof. It was finished this morning.
Folks say it rains a lot in the PNW. That’s bullshit. It’s only rained twice this year.
The first time lasted 48 days. The second stopped yesterday…
