Moneysaver for Your Cellphone? September 4, 2017

I don’t usually proselytize for products unless they involve ridiculous women’s fashion, dinosaurs, or robots. But Instapundit linked to a T Mobile program for the 55+ crowd, which is an increasingly large share of the IB demographic. I haven’t yet checked it out in detail, but a recent note from Retired Geezer about his limited data reminded me of this program.

So for those of you who are “rich in life experience,” as my wife would say, here’s a possible way to save some buckazoids. I should note that the second person on the account doesn’t have to be over 55.

Unlimited 55+
2 lines $60/mo.

Unlimited for a generation of rule breakers.

55yr old+ get 2 lines with unlimited talk, text and LTE data on America’s best unlimited network for $60/mo. with AutoPay.

TMo gets horrid service in the mountains.

That’s good to know. I’ve never used anything other than Verizon, so I’m naive as to T Mobile’s capabilities and customer service.

On our recent vacation loop through Yellowstone; over to South Dakota, down to Denver through Utah and back to the spud state we had excellent reception with Verizon.
We had done a similar trip 2 years ago while we were Tmob customers. The difference was significant. We’re currently camping about 100 miles north of Boise. We have 3 Verizon bars in the same campground that we had no service with TM last year.

Yeah but think of all the money you’ll be saving while you’re not able to use your phone.

TMo? No way. They suck here in DFW too.
