I had never heard of a bird called a Bobolink before. They have this weird blonde patch on the back of their heads and a very interesting shape to their beaks. I assume this guy was burping when the picture was taken.

Nice.
Now I’m going to have to google it to see if you made it up.

I guess I could pretty much make up whatever about bobolinks if no one has ever heard of them.

Bob O’ Link Golf Club in Chicago uses the bird as its logo

Huh. I’m starting to think these things really do exist.

We have them at the farm. They’re cool little birds.

They remind me of summer with the sun breaking over a field.

We have about 30 quail at Camp Geezer ™. Quail are cool birds, they have neat social structure and endearing mannerisms.
They are really cute when they are a few days old, they look like cotton balls with toothpick legs.

*sets up flock of cotton balls with toothpick legs on front lawn*

Less obnoxious than pink flamingos.

*sneaks out and removes pink flamingos from Camp Geezer entrance*

Bird chat: I have three pots of basil. Keeping one of them going by trimming and feeding it, but the other two I let go and they went to seed. Mr. and Mrs. Goldfinch are sitting in them, working the seedheads over as a couple. So freakin’ cute.
