Don’t Forget to Look Up Tonight January 20, 2019

Posted by geoff in News.

As you can see from the comment bar at the right, Bunk Strutts has a link at his site talking about tonight’s Soopah Banzai Moony Thing, a rare astronomical event.

It actually sounds like it’ll be really cool. Starts at 7:38 in Denver: follows Bunk’s link to find out when it’ll happen in your town.

Awesome! Thanks for highlighting this.

Now to have fun with my daughters. I already told them that the moon turning to blood is a sign of the end of the world. Let’s see how they react. (The little one might freak out, the big one might be relieved – no more school and tests and all that.)

Thanks for the linky. Makes tonight’s astronomical wonder even better.
Rock on wit yo bad sefs.

Back in my apartment days, the future missus and I were on the balcony watching a lunar eclipse. People on the walk below saw us and started looking at it, too. One of them asked what we were looking at, and I said it was a lunar eclipse.

“That’s when the sun comes between the earth and the moon, right?”
I replied, “That’s exactly right.”

It was years ago, but I’m pretty sure that was Don Lemon.

We had a pretty good view of it last night.
No werewolves showed tho – so I’d only give it a 7 out of 9.35 for astronomical events.

total cloud cover above me last night, so I didn’t get to see. 😦

Very cool moon for us. Thanks for the heads-up on it.
