Boxoffice Bombs December 25, 2006

This just struck me as funny:

Oscar winners Russell Crowe, Nicolas Cage and Sean Penn starred in some of the year’s biggest box office bombs, according to an analysis published on Sunday by Variety, proving A-list stars are not invincible.

Sean Penn in a bomb? Say it isn’t so.

Crowe struck out with the romantic comedy “A Good Year,” Cage with the horror remake “Wicker Man,” and Penn with another remake, the political saga “All the King’s Men…”

Also mentioned is Sharon Stone, who somehow keeps getting starring rolls in films after an 11-year string of bombs.

“Flushed Away” had a $90 million shortfall between cost and domestic sales.

Oh, those pictures were taken when Sean Penn ‘Saved’ New Orleans.

Nicholas Cage sucks. Besides Raising Arizona and Peggy Sue Got Married, his performances suck.

I haven’t watched anything that Sean Penn has been in since Bad Boys.

Russel Crowe is cool. He doesn’t deserved to be mentioned with those jerks, Penn, Cage, and Stone.
